Located in the vibrant heart of Harlem, The Shift NYC has been a beacon of hope, light and transformation since 2019. Our church is rooted in the belief that a true shift in the heart, mind, and soul of an individual will not only bring them closer to God but will also allow them to fulfill life’s purpose.
With a strong foundation in faith, community, and outreach, The Shift NYC has curated and created a space where individuals from all walks of life can experience God’s grace and love.
In February of 2019, Pastor Jahleel Spence, led by the call of God and a burden for his community, launched The Shift NYC, a multi-generational ministry designed to reach the masses. While initially only meeting monthly with five partners, the ministry has experienced massive growth and engagement through consistency and relatability. With its dynamic worship, relevant teaching, pragmatic principles and authentic connections, The Shift has become a premier guide for believers to develop an authentic relationship with Jesus.
Setting The Shift apart is its commitment to uplifting the downtrodden, assisting the needy, and empowering the disenfranchised through supporting local schools, food pantries, mentorship, and many other resources.
